IPO Wave in India: Record Fundraising in 2025 Boosts Market Sentimen

Festive-season demand, GST 2.0 rollout, and strong domestic liquidity fuel India’s biggest IPO pipeline of 2025.

MUMBAI, September 14, 2025 – India’s IPO market is set for its busiest fortnight in years, with over a dozen companies preparing to raise nearly ₹10,000 crore before the end of September. According to merchant bankers, price bands will begin rolling out from September 15, with most issues expected to close before September 30.

The IPO lineup includes iValue Infosolutions, Saatvik Green Energy, JinKushal Industries, Atlanta Electricals, Park Medi World, SolarWorld Energy Solutions, Jain Resource Recycling, CIEL HR Services, GK Energy, Ganesh Consumer Products, Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers, and Seshaasai Technologies. A second wave of listings is scheduled between late September and early October, featuring Anantam Highway InvIT (Alpha Alternatives), Epack Prefab Technologies, Pranav Construction, and TruAlt Bioenergy.

The IPO rush coincides with the rollout of GST 2.0 from September 22, which streamlines the tax structure into two primary slabs—5% for essentials and 18% standard—while retaining a higher band for select demerit goods. Officials said the reform is expected to ease compliance and boost business sentiment at a critical time for companies heading to market.

Market strategists also point to supportive macroeconomic factors, including monetary easing signals and India’s post-monsoon festive demand cycle, which traditionally supports higher risk appetite.

Domestic Money in the Driver’s Seat

For the first time in history, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) hold more equity in NSE-listed companies (17.62%) than Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) (17.22%), according to March 2025 data. Strong inflows into mutual funds have helped cushion foreign outflows triggered by a strong dollar and global yield pressures.

“This structural shift means IPOs are no longer overly dependent on foreign inflows—domestic participation has matured to absorb supply,” said a senior market analyst.

What Investors Should Watch

Price bands are expected to be announced starting September 15. Investors should track Sebi approvals, RHP/DRHP updates, and fund utilization plans. Several of the upcoming IPOs aim to fund capex, capacity expansion, and balance-sheet strengthening, particularly in energy and infrastructure-adjacent sectors.
